Moscow, February 18, 2020 — With the assistance of Gazprombank, an advanced new auditorium opened at the Economics and Management Department at the National University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University). The opening ceremony was attended by Natalya Tretyak, First Vice President of Gazprombank, as well as university alumni — now employees of Gazprombank: Alexey Antonyuk, First Vice President of Gazprombank — Asset Management JSC, and Vice President Igor Volobuyev. Rector Viktor Martynov and Alexander Slavinsky, Dean of the Economics and Management Department, were present at the opening ceremony on behalf of the university.
Opening the auditorium was made possible through the work of Gazprombank’s Government and Subordinate Organizations Relations Center, as well as the Non-Profit Organizations Relations Division of Gazprombank — Asset Management JSC.
“As one of the largest Russian banks, Gazprombank fully recognizes the need for conducting socially-responsible business. Education is one of the critical areas where state and business actively cooperate, and we are pleased to be making our own contribution to the development of science and higher education. Gazprombank views educational institutions not just as interesting clients, but as reliable partners as well. We hope that this auditorium will drive the academic accomplishments of the university’s student body — and the professional achievements of its alumni moving forward,” commented Natalya Tretyak, First Vice President of Gazprombank, on the event.
The opening of the auditorium marked one of the steps in cooperation between Gazprombank and the National University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University) across a whole range of areas — both within the framework of service provision for the university and for the purposes of developing joint educational and social programs.
After the opening ceremony for the auditorium, Gazprombank representatives held a meeting with university executives to discuss the technical aspect of joint project development and new areas for cooperation, including the establishment of an endowment for the university.
