Moscow, October 8, 2020 — Rostelecom, Russia’s largest integrated provider of digital services, completed the establishment of a secured Wi-Fi network at 400 Gazprombank branches all across the country.
Wireless Internet access was also provided to offices servicing resource deposits in geographically hard-to-reach places. The network is accessible to both clients — who now get wireless Internet access, as well as to employees — for the purposes of accessing the Bank’s informational resources.
The project indicates the further development of cooperation between Rostelecom and Gazprombank in the field of the advancement of digital technologies. The respective agreement was signed last October.
“Wi-Fi at branches represents just the latest customer communication channel for Gazprombank. We are pleased to provide high-speed Internet access to our visitors. It is not just a nice but a necessary service for the client in the context of today’s realities: by connecting to a Wi-Fi network, you can, for example, update or download our mobile application without losing data traffic,” commented Alexey Popovich, First Vice President, a Member of Gazprombank’s Management Board.
“I would like to note that the Wi-Fi network for Gazprombank branches was deployed in a very short time: the decision on the network’s arrangement was made in January, and by March, the first 100 branches had already been provided with the service. Currently, the Wi-Fi network has already started working at 400 Bank branches. As new offices open, we will expand the network further,” shared Alexey Podryabinnikov, Corporate Clients Director at Rostelecom PJSC.
